Yahoo has announced that it would only be storing users personal data gather from web surfing for only 90 days, which is the shortest time span amongst its peers. Yahoo previously kept user data for 13 months – however the company is reserving the right to keep data for up to six months in case of fraud or system security issues.
Google has also recently cut short the amount of time it keeps personal data to nine months from a prior unlimited data storage policy.
